LETTER TO EDITOR
May 13th, 2009

To whom ever:

After hearing that Dorothy  Pisel got on the city council, you might say I was very elated. I surely do believe the board done the right thing. I do have to say I was a little apprehensive about who was going to replace Melvin Wood. I surely do believe people know what I am saying. I know I have been to outspoken in some of my correspondence and I do hereby apologize to anybody whose feeling I have hurt. But as the old philosopher said, the truth sometimes does hurt, there is just No way around it. So I offer my congratulations to Dorothy. I do believe she will do what is right.

As ever I do await your phone call or visit.

LETTER TO EDITOR

March 24th, 2009

After reading the names of the people who want to be city politicans, it reminds me of that old Adage, you can always tell a Politican, But you can never tell therrranything. It just seems as though some people just be happy unless they are messing over somebody or telling somebody what to do! But I guess if your ego is as big as all outdoors, you just never learn that somebody don't want you! I wonder if some of the clique are related to Hitler.

And I wonder if they sprechen sie Deutsch. This was a nice little old cow town until the newcomers moved m and wanted to change things. If it was such a nice town to move in to, why do they want to change everything. If you don't like the way things are, just get out of town. I have lived in this Little Old Town off and on since 1933 and to me everything seems fine. Just what is wrong with just leaving us OLD folks alone.

As I have said before and I will say again, if you step one foot on my property and try to tell me what I can do and what I can't do, you will find yourself in the street so fast you will thing it happened yesterday. I do await your challenge. Bye for now.

Letter to Editor
Boring, Boring, and Boring Same old Tune and Dance.

Well, I haven't said nothing for a while, so I am going to voice my opinion again. I do know for sure there are several people in this town that don't agree with what I have to say, but I have yet to have somebody dispute my word, one lady did tell Stella, she really appreciates what I am saying. I do fail to understand why some people move into this town because it is a nice place to live, and then they want to start running things and telling everybody what to do. The editor of the local paper has lived her for seventy years. He has helped more people than you newcomers could help if you live here until you die. There is only one reason you politicos no longer hold office. Nobody wants you. I await your reply. William R. Michele 820 2nd Ave. Box 55 Deer Trail, Co 80105 Ph #: 303-769-4625 Yah Right Bill, just a lot of born losers on the Town Board, maybe you should run on the Board?
Letter to the Editor: Ron Schaffer
As I set here and read everything that’s going on in your town and with the town hall meetings
You need to give the Big Texas Boot to the ones that think they can come into Deer Trail and walk all over the ones that has been there for more years then they have. And for the ones that moved there and made your Town Look Dirty put them out on I-70 and send them back where ever they came from. When I lived there 25 years ago your little town was nice place to live!!

I get a lot of emails in the last month, but this one is very interesting about the way people think in Deer Trail about getting anything FREE. Well, if you get any thing in Deer Trail and its FREE, go for it.

Anglo does not what his last name, but who know if it is an Allis name?

Fantastic, but you better hurry up before the new board members are voted in 3 to 6 month from last night meeting December . 3rd 2008

Don Eastwood did it and another one did the same thing for FREE!

I have no problems with that, because I cannot do any thing about it.

And for sure, not running for board member and if I did, it takes 60% to approve any issue that the town of Deer Trail has as they have to vote on it?

The only thing about that, is the Town of Deer Trail can go belly up, then the County will take over......maybe, but that again has to be voted on too. So far, the town lost $14,000.00 and at that Rate, who know what will happen?
This well continue until the residents vote on a new board members in 3 to 6 months, because Hardwick, & Boyd have every thing sowed up and they will not reverse any thing or the ordinances.

Mr. Editor, Deertrailco.net

As I understand it; water and sewer taps are of no charge in the town of Deer Trail.  If I am correct with reference to information as forwarded to me by an attendee of your town board meeting as of 3 Dec. 2008,  and where I am planning on the purchase of two lots, I will be able to have free sewer and water taps to my property.  I am planning on moving a couple of trailer houses to the properties as rental units, and purchasing a property on north 2nd ave. for my own residence.

Letter to the Editor:

To Whom It May Concern I received a phone call the other day, and the person said, Mr. Lavoie was circulating a petition to have Dutch Venter Recalled. I have not seen the petition, but I can name everyone on it. Why do these people move into a nice little old town because it's a nice place to live, and then they want to change everything? If you don't like things the way they are, why did you move here? The same road that you came in on will sure take you back out. Mr. Lavoie and his clique could never do for the town half of what Dutch has done if they live here until they die. Dutch spent a lot of years being an ambulance driver, and a lot of years as a volunteer fireman. Can Mr. Lavoie or his clique top that! I surely do doubt it. I do await a reply from Mr. Lavoie or his clique.

Well Mr. William (Bill) Michele, thanks for your letter to the editor, very interesting in what you said. Yes, the Recall Committees did decided to recall all three board members. David Boyd, Robert Hardwick and Harry (Dutch) Venter, because most of the town did not think in the last few months that them 3 board member were doing their job. Great about Mr. Harry (Dutch) Venter spent lot of years with the ambulance driver, fire department and driving a school bus.

But, that is not today, it is 2008. By the way, we do have clique in the town of Deer Trail, but to improve the quietly of life and clean up the town with a wide exclusive circle or group of persons ; especially : one held together by common interests, views, or purposes and the purposes is being proud of the town of Deer Trail, when everyone does their part in keeping it cleaned up and with the residents volunteer work with the town of Deer Trail can work together with the board member like we did when Tink and James was Mayor.
We do not set in the house and moan about it, we do something about it OK?

Mr. Venter had told me a couple years ago that he should have not ran for the second term in office with the board member, because he was getting sick of the way the Town of Deer Trail was wanting to go into the future and Tink Rector was Mayor they disagreed on a lot of issues that Tink wanted to do or implement different projects to clean up the town and Mr Johnson wanted to continue the same projects that Tink started after he, in memory of Tink past away.
So, most of the residents was thinking he should step down, resign or be recalled today.

David Boyd has show total disregard for the residents and ordinances for the Town of Deer Trail, plus thinks that lowering the water bills and giving free taps is one way to go! He should be serving the public, not for his family & friends and Pardon Judicial Actions, all judicial actions against Everett and Lucinda Boyd and Robert and Stephen Byg. No way has he upheld his oath of office for the Town of Deer Trail and most of all never listened to any one, like he said he would? Too many people hear him yelling at some of the residents at the meeting and plus I heard him too, that was uncalled for and to think that the one of the reports from a newspaper was there too.

Robert Hardwick as I don?t know much about him or were he came from other that related to Tink Rector, what ever? But does not think like Tink Rector, that for sure, even if his wife is a granddaughter to Tink, which is cool, but does not have any credentials on how to run as a board member. I only seen him once at a Town Hall Meeting and listed to him for 25 minutes and today, I have no idea what he was talking about? Plus has show total disregard for the residents and ordinances for the Town of Deer Trail and has the same problem as the other board members voted in on April 2008

Mr. Venter does not want this Town of Deer Trail go into the future, just live it like it was in the 1950 & 60 era. That does not cut it, it is 2008. He was against any New Businesses like Spur Mountain Timber, and think we do not need this in Deer Trail (new business) or any control of any kind or thing in Deer Trail, a dead beat town, dead end town, and that including being against any law enforcement in the State of Colorado. Even though we have been stepbrother since 1948, he has change with age over the last few years, plus had problems with Tink Rector when he was Mayor, and maybe I might be that way when I get older, but I sure hope not..!! Well maybe with the so-called new board members, but I am not the only one, young or old.
